Sending E-Mail from ASP

Several previous tips covered how to send e-mail from an Active Server document. One reader wrote back saying that he was getting a permission denied error when he attempted to use one of the CDONTS objects. A probable cause of this is that the web user ID (typically IUSR_COMPUTERNAME) doesn't have permission to send the e-mail. You'll need to check with your system administrator to make sure that the web user ID can access the necessary objects for sending mail.
