Removing DLLs from Memory
Written by Eric Smith, Northstar Computer Systems LLC
When testing your COM components with your ASP application, it can be frustrating when you have used the DLL and can't recompile it because the file is in use. Instead of rebooting your server, all you have to do go to your Services applet in the Control Panel. Stop the IIS Admin service, and NT will also stop all related services. When everything has stopped, restart the IIS Admin service and the Web Publishing service, at a minimum. You'll be able to rebuild the component into the same DLL filename now.
