RecordCount = -1

A user asked me recently why he was getting RecordCount values equal to -1. The reason is that he had created a ForwardOnly recordset. ForwardOnly recordsets don't include the navigation information that includes the number of records in the recordset. If you open a static, dynamic, or keyset recordset, the RecordCount property will be correct.
