Permission Denied for E-Mail
Written by Eric Smith, Northstar Computer Systems LLC
A previous tip suggested that if you were unable to send e-mail from your web page, it might be that your web user ID didn't have permission for the e-mail objects. Another reader, Joe Claborn, had a slightly different situation. He said that after he changed his web site to run in a different process, he started getting this error as well. Clearing the appropriate checkbox to allow the web site to run in the same process eliminated the error. In both cases, the web user ID shown in the Directory Security tab stayed the same.
