ASP on Other Platforms

Written by Eric Smith, Northstar Computer Systems LLC

If you are looking to run ASP on platforms such as Linux, you're out of luck. The one product that was available, ChiliSoft, was purchased by Sun Microsystems. The product was maintained until 2007 but at this point it is no longer available for purchase. From the Sun site:

Sun Java System Active Server Pages has entered its End Of Life (EOL) process and can no longer be purchased. Key dates for the EOL process are:

Last Order Date June 08, 2007
Last Ship Date: September 07, 2007
End Of Service Life Date: August 10, 2012
Users of Sun Active Server Pages are encouraged to begin evaluating alternative server-side scripting technologies.
